May 8 Track Meet

Well, this was a tough day for the team. Despite some very good performances, we were unable to pull away with a win today. Both meets were very close, losing to Brookfield 81 to 69 and Bethel 78 to 72.

Despite the loses, we had some very good performances. Top performances include:
  • Laura Rommelfanger winning the pole vault in an school record vault of 8'6".
  • Our 4x800 team of Jeanne Theleen, Rachel Madenjian, Kelly Tidgewell, and Jessica Broderick winning with a time of 10:44.
  • Emily Hayden winning the 1600 in a time of 5:42.
  • Jessica Broderick winning the 800 in a time of 2:29.
  • Jeanne Theleen winning the 3200 in a time of 12:04.
  • Nicole Mendelson winning the triple jump with jump of 28' 0".
  • Our 4x100 team qualifying for states with a time of 54.1.

Many people had their top performances today and we all are reaching our potential. I am happy with how we performed today. Congratulations and good luck at the last meet of the regular season.
